Never too early to study abroad

Cady

As a freshman, Ross Cady (agricultural business) applied for a study abroad program with doubts of being accepted because it was his first semester at Iowa State.

Much to his surprise, Ross was accepted and committed into the program. Ross traveled to Edinburgh and London on a spring break program to experience Brexit first-hand. Ross returned from the travel course with a new outlook and goal to study abroad for a semester.

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is here to offer support to students interested in international travel through study abroad programs. Programs allow students to experience real world situations while gaining a new outlook on the world. Students are encouraged to apply for programs as early as their freshman year, as long as they meet the program criteria. Students also have the ability to apply for more than one program during a semester and then make a final decision at a later date.
