Preparing for the future

Keely Acheson

Keely Acheson (agricultural business, finance) practically grew up in the tractor riding with her dad on the farm. But she knew a family connection to agriculture and good grades were only part of what would set her apart from others in the industry.

Career Services is one of the many services offered by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). Staff are available to provide critique of a resume and mock interviews for students and alumni seeking full-time employment and internships.

With interview practice under her belt and a printed resume in hand, Keely attended CALS Career Day, the largest agriculture career fair in the country, where she scored interviews with some of her top internship choices. Her advance preparation allowed her to feel comfortable in those interviews which resulted in an offer from her top choice.
