Service Learning, Global Impact

Rachael Barnes (agricultural systems technology, global resource systems) had not considered studying abroad until she was encouraged by a friend.

Rachael participated in a service learning program in Uganda that allowed her to learn through hands-on learning experiences while also making a global impact. As a result of participating in the program, Rachael gained an interest in international studies and added global resource systems as a second major.

Whether you are wanting to broaden your horizon, experience different cultures or gain useful skills for the workforce, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences offers study abroad opportunities to fit all of your needs and desires. Learning more about programs is as easy as visiting the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Study Abroad Office website or stopping by 0018 Curtiss Hall to talk with a student about their experience on a program.
