Solving global problems

Trey Forsyth

It takes passion to solve the world’s problems and creativity to make sure the solutions work. Trey Forsyth (agricultural business) is using both, courtesy of his education in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, to solve world hunger in an internship through Land O’Lakes.

The experiences of students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences reach far beyond the classroom, providing students with the hands-on skills to be successful and a network of mentors. With guidance and encouragement from expert faculty, students gain internships at major companies that match their passions.

As just one of ten students selected for the program, Trey is working on an idea to develop a cooperative system in rural communities and bringing food processing equipment right to farmers. With time spent at Land O’Lakes Inc., a trip to Africa, and time in Washington D.C., Trey will be able to feed his passion before presenting his solutions. Read more about Trey’s internship.
