CALS Advantage Day for high school juniors

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Ambassadors are pleased to invite high school juniors to attend a special visit spring 2023.

At this event, you can explore your interests in animal life, business and policy, plant life, human health, the environment, food systems, machinery and technology, and life science. Participants will tour campus, residence halls and campus facilities. You will also have the opportunity to meet advisors, learn about student organizations and ask any questions you may have.

During the registration process you will be able to choose tours that match your interests.


8:00 am Registration
8:00 am College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Club and Organization Fair Learn about different clubs and organizations you can join as a student.
9:00 am University Welcome Find out how to chose your adventure at Iowa State.
9:35 am Campus and Housing Tours or Guest(s) Information Session Students will go on a tour of campus and see a residence while your guest(s) may attend an information session.
11:00 am Lunch with Academic Advisors Learn about a major you are interested in from an academic advisor.
12:30 pm Current Student Panel Hear about student life at Iowa State.
1:00 pm Interest-specific Tours Participate in a tour or activity of your choice to learn more about your interests.
